Commercial Executive - Logistics Solutions

About the role

The Senior Commercial Executive will lead the commercial function of a fast‑growing logistics business that provides export and supply‑chain solutions. Reporting to Executive Management, the role is responsible for shaping strategy, negotiating with carriers and suppliers, and ensuring profitable pricing of logistics services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a commercial strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Provide strategic commercial guidance to senior leadership.
• Lead high‑level negotiations on freight rates, contracts, rebates and service agreements with shipping lines, transport providers and other logistics partners.
• Evaluate supplier performance against service level agreements and benchmark market pricing.
• Oversee pricing functions to ensure quotations are accurate, competitive and profitable.
• Analyse market trends, freight costs and operational expenses to create sustainable pricing models.
• Secure sufficient carrier capacity to meet seasonal and operational demand.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in commercial roles within logistics, freight forwarding or related supply‑chain sectors.
• Strong track record of driving profitability and operational efficiency.
• Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with shipping lines, transport providers and service partners.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
