Transportation Creditors Manager

About the role

Latitude Resource is seeking an experienced Transportation Creditors Manager to lead the creditors function for its fast‑growing logistics brokerage in Bellville, Cape Town. You will own end‑to‑end accounts payable, develop a high‑performing team and ensure timely payment of transport suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full transportation creditors/accounts payable process, from invoice capture to payment runs.
• Oversee supplier reconciliations, ensure accurate cost allocation and maintain strong financial controls.
• Build and maintain relationships with transport vendors, resolve queries and act as escalation point for complex issues.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Creditors team, handling performance, recruitment and staff development.
• Drive continuous improvement, workflow automation and process optimisation across the creditors function.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a high‑volume creditors or accounts payable function.
• Previous experience in transport, logistics, freight forwarding or supply‑chain environments is highly advantageous.
• Proven leadership experience managing finance or creditors teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using accounting software.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from R40,000 to R55,000 per month, dependent on experience.
