Stock Controller – Heavy‑Duty Automotive Parts

About the role

HD Transmissions, a specialist in heavy‑duty automatic transmissions, is looking for a reliable and detail‑oriented Stock Controller to manage inventory in a busy workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and record all incoming stock, checking quantities, part numbers and condition against purchase orders and supplier documentation.
• Issue parts and consumables to workshop personnel using job cards or authorised requests, ensuring accurate allocation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of stock movements, adjustments, returns and write‑offs in the inventory system.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, physical stocktakes and investigate any variances.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels, identify slow‑moving or excess items and support purchase planning.
• Liaise with suppliers on deliveries, shortages, returns and other queries.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in stock control, inventory management or related warehousing roles.
• Proficient communication in Afrikaans and English.
• Strong numerical ability, high attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport; immediate availability.

• Salary starting from R18 000 (market‑related).
• Paid trial period of 1–2 weeks leading to permanent employment.
