About the role
The Maanskynbaai Slipway in Hermanus is looking for a seasonal Coastal Monitor X2 to work between 19 October 2026 and 2 November 2026. The post is open to applicants who meet the minimum requirements and live locally.
Required profile
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification, or equivalent technical qualification
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Applicants must be older than 18 years
- Good communication and public relations skills in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape
- Physically strong and healthy
- Must be a resident of the Overstrand area; holidaymakers will not be considered
- Preference will be given to unemployed residents of the Overstrand municipal area
- Available to perform shift work on weekends and public holidays
Appointees must report for duty at the stations mentioned in their appointment letters. Banking details, RSA identity document and tax number are required.
