Clinical Sales Specialist - Joint Replacement

About the role

Stryker is looking for a Clinical Support Specialist to support its Joint Replacement business in Bloemfontein. This is a field-based role focused on serving and supporting clinical customers with best-in-class specialist support and procedural excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Service existing and new customers in the theatre and clinical environment.
• Provide theatre and wider healthcare professional staff with in-depth training on Stryker products.
• Work with regional team members and the Regional Sales Manager to maintain high customer service levels.
• Audit theatre Stryker stock (implants, disposables, instruments), manage consignment inventory and ensure good asset management.
• Understand the clinical application of the broader Stryker portfolio to offer the best solution to customers.
• Conduct trials and evaluations of products in theatre and clinical settings as required.
• Support the implementation of training, provision of instruments and new Stryker business.
• Plan, execute and monitor support measures for physicians, theatre staff, hospital administration and sterilisation departments.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and professionalism at workshops, product demonstrations and customer interactions, and communicate features, benefits and clinical applications clearly.
• Maintain ethical standards, respect customers and employees, and represent Stryker professionally.
• Observe customer needs and liaise with sales colleagues to introduce additional products or support where appropriate.
• Maintain a basic business plan with daily, weekly and monthly objectives, and understand the local healthcare environment and regional strategy.

Required profile

• Technikon or university qualification in a medical field, Biokinetics, Sports Science, or BSc Anatomy/Physiology.
• At least 2 years' experience in a theatre environment.
• Experience in orthopaedics (joint replacement, trauma, extremities, sports medicine, etc.).
• Commercial knowledge of cost pressures around theatres and surgical procedures.
• Driver's license preferred.
• Experience in joint replacement is a strong plus.
