Clinical Pharmacy Technician Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Pharmacy Technician to lead our clinical/ward technician team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This full‑time permanent position works across medical, surgical and cancer services, supporting multidisciplinary care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of approximately 70 clinical/ward technicians.
• Collaborate with medical, surgical and cancer team leads, as well as the Dr Grays and Women & Children’s pharmacy teams.
• Shape and expand the clinical technician role, improving processes and staffing.
• Supervise, train and mentor staff and students, acting as a role model.
• Participate in audit, research and continuous service improvement.
• Commit to weekend working as required.

Required profile

• Experienced Pharmacy Technician with strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
