Clinical Pharmacist Lecturer (Grade 1 & 2) – Health Science Colleges

About the role

The Western Cape College of Nursing is seeking qualified Clinical Pharmacists to join the Health Science Colleges as lecturers. The position is offered at Grade 1 and Grade 2 levels and involves teaching pharmacy‑related subjects to nursing students.

Key responsibilities

• Lecturing Pharmacology and, where qualified, the dispensing course to nursing students.
• Designing, setting, conducting and marking assessments.
• Collaborating with subject coordinators and providing written feedback to the Head of Department.

Required profile

• Grade 1: Minimum 3 years post‑registration experience as a Pharmacist and Clinical Pharmacist with SAPC.
• Grade 2: Minimum 11 years post‑registration experience as a Pharmacist and Clinical Pharmacist with SAPC.
• B Pharm degree (NQF Level 8) enabling registration with the South African Pharmacy Council.
• Registration with SAPC as a Pharmacist (or proof of pending registration).
• Conversant in at least two official Western Cape languages (English, Afrikaans, Xhosa).
