About the role

The Professional Nurse/Clinical (PB Qualified) will deliver individualized, holistic, person‑centred nursing care within the Emergency Department of Netcare Sunninghill Hospital. This role involves direct and indirect patient interaction, supporting families and the community while working as part of a multidisciplinary health team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement individualized nursing care for patients in the emergency setting.
• Coordinate patient care across the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Apply scientifically based nursing theories and processes to address physical, social and spiritual needs.
• Utilise educational and technical resources to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and protocols.

Required profile

• PB qualified professional nurse registered with the relevant South African nursing council.
• Experience or strong interest in working within an emergency department.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Commitment to person‑centred, holistic nursing care.
