Clinical Data Specialist - Fixed Term Contract

About the role

IQVIA is looking for a Clinical Data Specialist on a fixed-term contract in Bloemfontein. The role provides basic and some comprehensive data management support to the Clinical Data Management (CDM) team, delivering efficient, quality data management products that meet customer needs. It may also involve team leadership activities under the supervision of other Subject Matter Experts, Data Team Leads or Functional Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a Clinical Data Specialist with guidance.
• Carry out post-lock activities such as eArchiving and Hyperlinking.
• Follow standard user manuals and working instructions, perform quality control procedures and comply with timelines set by the PLA Lead.
• Conduct data reviews and file preparation for regulatory submissions and site audits.
• Negotiate timelines and responsibilities with team members and build good working relationships with the global eArchiving team and management.
• Act as backup to a Subject Matter Expert or PLA Lead.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in clinical, biological or mathematical sciences or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Exposure to medical terminology.
• Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills, and strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently, resolve problems proactively and build effective working relationships with colleagues, managers and clients.
