Client Liaison Officer – Emfuleni (Vanderbijlpark)

About the role

An experienced Client Liaison Officer is needed for the Emfuleni branch in Vanderbijlpark. The role supports doctors and hospital staff, ensuring high‑quality service aligned with PathCare values.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑stop service to doctors, handling patient data, accounts and banking.
• Assist with result queries, report processing, ward report filing and real‑time problem solving for test requests.
• Escalate clinical queries to pathologists and accompany doctors on ward or antibiotic stewardship rounds.
• Manage help‑desk emails, account queries and arrange specialised testing in liaison with hospital departments.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with 3‑5 years experience in a pathology environment (depot administration, help‑desk or ICLO).
• Client‑focused, detail‑oriented, able to work under pressure and display resilience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, fluent English and basic Afrikaans.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Meditech (results lookup, printing, emailing, billing, shipping batches, archives).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and Outlook.
