Claims & Costing Specialist

About the role

MSX International is looking for an experienced Claims & Costing Specialist to join its team in Claremont, Western Cape. The role covers warranty claims, documentation, data entry and the upkeep of a warranty parts store.

Key responsibilities

• Research warranty concerns and prepare or customise warranty paperwork for work.
• Review all warranty claims, administer them and submit them for warranty approval.
• Monitor repair order completion against warranty requirements and keep track of customer inquiries and requests on warranty issues.
• Communicate warranty programmes and bulletins to aftersales staff in a timely way and ensure compliance with warranty specifications.
• Evaluate databases and enter data for warranty claims and filings.
• Manage warranty claim submissions, resubmit claims where needed and make sure the right actions are taken.
• Prepare documents for warranty audits as recommended by the OEM.
• Manage and maintain a warranty parts store in line with OEM manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain records of customer details and warrantor references.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience as a Service Advisor, Warranty Clerk or a technical background in the motor industry.
• Ford experience preferred.

Required skills

• DMS experience (Automate, Evolve, ADP/Kerridge) is an advantage.
