Channels & Product Analyst (Automotive)

About the role

An international vehicle manufacturer operating in more than 10 countries and serving customers in more than 100 markets is recruiting a Channels & Product Analyst for its After Sales department, based in Sandton. The analyst develops business cases for genuine parts campaigns and promotions and evaluates their effectiveness through turnover, parts group and customer loyalty metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement genuine parts campaigns and promotions, working with the After Sales Marketing Consultant on marketing briefs
• Coordinate dealer genuine parts incentive programmes and set, monitor and report on dealer performance targets
• Run ongoing monthly analysis of HPG performance and prepare monthly performance reports and insights
• Support the field force with dealer performance data and develop and distribute dealer campaign bulletins
• Answer dealer campaign and incentive queries and conduct competitor and independent aftermarket pricing analysis
• Develop strategic product plans, identify sales and market share opportunities, and recommend parts performance improvements
• Support initiatives that improve customer loyalty and profitability

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Management, Data Management/Science, Commerce, Engineering or an IT-related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage
• At least 3 years' experience in a sales, aftersales or marketing environment
• Parts technical experience desired, and good knowledge of dealer after-sales operations
• Advantages: programme and project management experience, incentive management experience, understanding of branding principles, and sound understanding of the market and competitive environment

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python and Google Analytics
• Ability to turn data into insights, design thinking skills
