Centre & Operations Manager - The Square Shopping Centre

About the role

Broll Property Group is recruiting a Centre & Operations Manager for The Square Shopping Centre in Gauteng, South Africa. The post covers planning, organising and directing the centre's activities, overseeing leasing contracts, services and maintenance, and keeping buildings, grounds and equipment well maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Support management with goals, business plans, policies and budgets, and monitor market activity, vacancies and competitor strategies
• Manage day-to-day operations, including tenant complaints, cleaning, electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, parking and emergency call-outs
• Run preventative maintenance programmes, including a five-year plan, and coordinate repairs, refurbishments and major works
• Plan security measures, manage guards on duty and ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Prepare annual and five-year budgets, monthly financial statements and management reports, and handle billing, arrears and credit control
• Coordinate contractors and suppliers, issue tenders and manage service agreements
• Manage tenant relations, lettings, lease renewals and vacant premises, and run promotions and marketing initiatives
• Lead and appraise staff, set training programmes and keep online data and ISO procedures up to date

Required profile

• Matric qualification
• Additional related maintenance and property experience
