Catering Manager - Fourways

About the role

Icebolethu is looking for a candidate to take up a permanent Catering Manager position for its Catering Business based in Fourways. The manager develops the Catering strategy by considering market trends and regulations, and aligns core business objectives with the effective operation of all Catering operations across the Inland Provinces (Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West, Northern Cape and Free State) to support bottom-line performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership in Catering Operations across the Inland Provinces and implement controls to ensure the business viability of Catering Services
• Ensure quality control meets company standards and deliver a zero-defects service to clients
• Maintain equipment in good working order and keep accurate records of staff, leave and duty allocations
• Coach, guide and mentor subordinates, plan and allocate work efficiently, and manage human resources against branch performance targets
• Reduce overheads, enforce company policies and procedures, and ensure staff comply with PPE and Health and Safety policies
• Manage risks, lead change management, and partner with the Group Managing Executive on performance, compliance and risk matters
• Plan and implement medium- and long-term strategies, develop a succession plan for key roles, and provide governance in line with industry norms

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Home Economics, Hospitality, Catering, Food Technology or a related field; a Master's degree in business administration or leadership is advantageous
• Assessor and Moderator qualifications and registration with the Catering SETA
• At least 8 years of Catering Management experience, including supervisory and/or managerial experience
