Capital Markets Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to join the Capital Markets division of Apex Group. The role will focus on delivering accurate portfolio valuations and comprehensive financial reporting for a range of client portfolios. You will work closely with portfolio managers, brokers and custodians while supporting a growing team of accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day capital markets accounting and financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients and structures.
• Plan, coordinate and complete Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations in collaboration with managers and the wider team.
• Prepare management and statutory reports for corporate entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS, GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and develop trainee accountants and interns.
• Liaise with portfolio managers, brokers and custodians to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure client deliverables meet agreed deadlines, best‑practice standards and regulatory obligations.
• Assist external auditors to facilitate timely and efficient audit processes.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in capital markets accounting, portfolio valuation or fund administration.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and GAAP reporting standards.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients, brokers and custodians.
