Business Intelligence Analyst – IT & BI Support

About the role

The company, a large food manufacturer in Montague Gardens, Cape Town, is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to provide operational system support, ensure data integrity, and deliver accurate reporting that drives business decisions. Reporting to the ICT Manager, you will work across multiple platforms to troubleshoot issues, support users, and improve processes through automation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for Syspro, Translution, Microsoft 365, and Qlik Sense, maintaining documentation and resolving technical queries.
• Develop and maintain Power BI and Excel reports, gather requirements, and support ODBC connections.
• Validate data accuracy, assist with SQL investigations, master data maintenance, and bulk uploads.
• Manage user onboarding/off‑boarding, license reviews, and access controls across applications.
• Support EDI and e‑commerce integrations, ensuring correct data flow and error remediation.
• Administer SharePoint libraries, permissions, and version control.
• Identify inefficiencies, design automation solutions, and recommend system enhancements.
• Participate in IT budgeting, cost awareness for reporting tools and application implementations.
