Business Banker: Merchant Services

About the role

The Business Banker – Merchant Services will develop and maintain strong relationships with business clients, delivering end‑to‑end support for merchant solutions. The role focuses on driving profitability by consulting, selling and providing post‑sale training for Capitec’s business banking and payment products.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and optimise client relationships through engagement, installation, after‑sales support and training on merchant services.
• Promote and sell Business Bank and merchant products to new and existing clients, contributing to the overall profitability of the Business Bank division.
• Identify sales or business opportunities and provide tailored solutions that meet client needs.
• Develop and expand the client base across the geographic area, ensuring consistent coverage and growth.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of proven experience in a CRM environment with cross‑selling or upselling responsibilities, preferably in FMCG, banking or retail.
• Experience providing on‑site technical support and training to external clients.
• Cold‑calling or external sales experience in a merchant acquiring environment, generating own selling opportunities.
• Minimum Grade 12 qualification; a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Marketing is preferred.
