Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor (Mount Frere)

About the role

Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM) is seeking a Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor to promote Sanlam Retail Mass products, provide sound financial advice and deliver high‑level client service in the Mount Frere branch.

Key responsibilities

• Promote SRM products and increase market share through sound financial advice and excellent client service.
• Create opportunities for client optimisation and cross‑selling of value‑added services.
• Deliver retail branch sales, client service and retention targets.
• Ensure compliance, quality and risk management standards are met.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service activities for the branch.
• Identify and engage key internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in a sales or marketing capacity.
• Experience within insurance branches is advantageous.
• Matric (Grade 12) qualification required.
• RE5 qualification advantageous.
• FAIS compliance as per DOFA requirements.

Required skills

• Strong client service orientation.
• Sales and cross‑selling tactics and strategies.
• Knowledge of the insurance landscape, regulatory requirements and product range.
• Target‑driven with strong analytical abilities.
