Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor (Heidleburg Mall)

About the role

Join Sanlam Developing Markets as a Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor at Heidleburg Mall. You will provide sound financial advice and high‑level client service within a branch environment, helping customers meet their financial goals through Sanlam Retail Mass products.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products to increase market share.
• Assess client needs, financial goals and means, and recommend appropriate product solutions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product ranges, changes, and regulatory requirements.
• Submit new business through proper channels and conduct due diligence on clients.
• Manage daily appointments while also serving walk‑in and non‑appointment clients.
• Service existing client portfolios, send payment reminders, follow up on queries, and ensure client retention.
• Monitor and report on non‑taken‑up (NTU) cases, applying corrective actions as needed.
• Handle policy cancellations, alternative payment arrangements, and escalations according to the branch’s escalation framework.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of SRM product ranges and the ability to match them to client needs.
• Excellent client‑service orientation with a focus on relationship building.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritising appointments and walk‑ins.
• Attention to compliance, regulatory standards and risk identification.
