Bookkeeper – Finance Department

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to join our Finance department in Johannesburg. You will maintain accurate financial records, manage payments, and support payroll and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Capture daily transactions, expenses, receipts and payments to keep financial records up‑to‑date.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments, client invoicing and follow‑ups.
• Reconcile bank, credit‑card, supplier and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll processing as required.
• Support tax and statutory compliance, including VAT returns and income‑tax information preparation.
• Maintain organised digital and physical records that are audit‑ready.
• Prepare and support monthly financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets and cash‑flow statements.

Required profile

• Relevant certification or tertiary qualification.
• Minimum three years of bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP/finance systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle or similar).
