Bookkeeper & Administrator (Trial Balance) – Onsite

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our dynamic team in Chartwell, Randburg. The role supports day‑to‑day financial and administrative functions, ensuring accurate records and smooth operational flow.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger through to Trial Balance, handling cash receipts, disbursements, accounts payable and receivable.
• Execute multicurrency and foreign‑exchange reconciliations, liaising with freight forwarders for imports.
• Use ERP systems to track inventory movements and keep asset registers up to date.
• Process vendor payments, customer receipts, and manage bank reconciliations and petty cash.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, profit & loss statements, and ad‑hoc reporting as required.
• Issue customer invoices, prepare statements, and handle VAT returns and audits.
• Run the full payroll cycle and submit statutory contributions (PAYE, UIF, SDL, WC).
• Provide executive support, diary management, and act as primary contact for external auditors.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience in bookkeeping and administration.
• Highly reliable, organised and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Own transport and ability to work onsite in Chartwell, Randburg.
