Azure DevOps Engineer – Banking Cloud Projects

About the role

Our client, a banking institution, is looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to design, implement and manage scalable Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions. The role focuses on Infrastructure as Code, containerisation and DevSecOps to ensure secure, highly available and resilient Azure environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain and optimise Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps solutions.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar technologies.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform, ARM Templates or Bicep.
• Implement and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights.
• Implement security best practices, vulnerability management processes and DevSecOps controls across Azure environments.
• Collaborate with development, testing and operations teams to streamline software delivery and deployment processes.
• Manage Git‑based source control, branching strategies, release management and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment, infrastructure and performance issues.
• Ensure high availability, scalability and disaster recovery across Azure environments.

Required profile

• Strong Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineering capabilities.
• Expertise in automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of DevSecOps, security and vulnerability management.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across development, testing and operations teams.
• Knowledge of Agile, DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• Ability to support highly available and scalable cloud environments.
