Auxiliary Nurse – Home Care Support

About the role

The Auxiliary Nurse will provide personalised support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and a high quality of life. You will travel to each client’s residence and assist with daily activities in a manner that respects their dignity and preferences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing and dressing.
• Prepare meals, shop for groceries, and support nutrition needs.
• Prompt clients to take medication and monitor adherence.
• Support daily routines, including mobility and toileting.
• Provide respite care, allowing family members time off.
• Encourage social interaction and leisure activities.
• Help clients access community resources and services.

Required profile

• Compassionate attitude with a focus on client independence.
• Reliable and punctual, able to travel to multiple client homes.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow care plans.
• Basic understanding of health and safety standards in a home setting.

Required skills

• Experience with personal care and domestic support tasks.
• Knowledge of medication prompting and basic health monitoring.
