Assurance Learning and Development Generalist (SAICA Training)

About the role

PwC is hiring a Learning and Development Generalist in Johannesburg, at director management level, to act as a devolved training officer. The role manages the SAICA training programme across 13 PwC training offices, covering interpretation of SAICA regulations and policies, facilitation of training, and the administration of training contracts and CPD.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the SAICA training programme for 13 PwC training offices and interpret SAICA Training Regulations and PwC SAICA policies and procedures
• Advise and support training officers and liaise with regulators (SAICA and IRBA)
• Facilitate formal SAICA induction, refresher and reviewer training, assessor training and course delivery
• Approve new learnerships and review RPL, suspensions and cancellations
• Moderate SAICA assessment forms, queries, disputes and appeals
• Help trainees submit LORs for development needs such as SDGs and mandatory training
• Review final PDSs for discharge from training contracts and manage APC professional programmes and service providers
• Coordinate SAICA exam registrations, reconcile payments and receive board exam results
• Prepare affidavits for misconduct and dismissals, attend disciplinary hearings and review non-compliance matters before handing them to IR
• Review payments to SAICA, IRBA, UCT, APT, GBC and other service providers, and review L&D Gauteng general ledger entries and prepare journals
• Prepare department budgets, calculate Section 12H tax allowances and oversee central administration of SAICA membership payments
• Monitor CPD, review CPD reports for annual declarations, report to Exco and chair or attend SAICA and XLOS manager meetings
