Assistant Store Manager (40hr)

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in driving sales, controlling expenses and ensuring excellent customer service at the Canal Walk location. This full‑time role focuses on achieving turnover targets while maintaining store standards and staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Drive turnover to achieve sales targets.
• Control expenses and manage stock losses to keep shrinkage within company standards.
• Lead people management activities, including recruitment, staff development, employee relations and performance management.
• Execute in‑store merchandising strategy and maintain visual standards.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering the company’s service strategy.
• Monitor and manage risk within the store environment.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Minimum 3 years retail or administrative experience.
• At least 2 years of store leadership or management experience.
• Previous retail management experience is preferred.
