About the role
Assistant Store Manager position at Totalsports in Canal Walk, responsible for driving turnover, controlling expenses and leading the store team.
Key responsibilities
- Driving turnover to ensure achievement of targets.
- Controlling expenses.
- Managing stock losses to keep shrinkage within company standards.
- People management, including recruitment, staff development, employee relations and performance management.
- Executing in‑store merchandising strategy and standards.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering the customer service strategy and meeting customer demands.
Required profile
- A Grade 12 qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years retail or admin experience, with previous retail management experience.
- Interest in fashion and a passion for excellent customer service.
- Organised, thorough and profit‑driven.
- Ability to manage risk, communicate persuasively at all levels and show initiative in a fast‑paced environment.
