About the role

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager at Mama Shelter, you will be the right‑hand to the restaurant’s heartbeat, ensuring every service runs smoothly and guests experience the brand’s bold personality. You will work on the floor, leading the team in real time and turning each shift into a vibrant, social experience.

Key responsibilities

• Champion the guest experience by engaging with diners, building rapport, and resolving feedback quickly and positively.
• Support daily operations, including opening, closing, floor management, and coordination between kitchen, bar, and front‑of‑house teams.
• Drive commercial performance by monitoring sales trends, upselling opportunities, and controlling labour, waste, and operational costs.
• Motivate and lead the front‑of‑house team on the floor, assisting with training, onboarding, and continuous coaching.
• Collaborate closely with culinary, bar, and event teams to ensure seamless service flow.

• Experience supporting restaurant operations and managing service flow.
