Assistant Lodge Management Couple – Field Guide & Reservations

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic couple to manage the day‑to‑day operations of a luxury private game reserve in Stormsvlei. One partner will act as Field Guide and handle general maintenance, while the other will manage reservations, administration and support senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct guided game drives and nature walks, interpreting wildlife and ensuring guest safety.
• Perform routine maintenance of infrastructure, vehicles, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Maintain reserve roads, signage and outdoor areas.
• Coordinate guest and staff transfers, logistics and support lodge operations during peak periods.
• Manage reservations, enquiries, booking system updates, rates and availability.
• Communicate with guests before, during and after their stay and liaise with agents and tour operators.
• Handle general lodge administration, invoicing, payments and financial reporting.
• Assist management with daily operations, staff scheduling and guest check‑in/out processes.

Required profile

• Valid FGASA qualification (Level 1 preferred) and a valid driver’s licence.
• Hands‑on maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
• Previous lodge or reserve experience and hospitality administration background.
• Physically fit, able to work flexible hours and handle pressure independently.
• Strong communication skills and professional guest‑facing attitude.
