Assistant Financial Controller

About the role

The Assistant Financial Controller will support the finance function of Radisson Hotel Group by overseeing key accounting processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving continuous improvement. This role reports to senior finance leadership and works closely with various internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable clerks, including debtors and creditors age analysis.
• Manage the credit policy, disbursement cycle, and cash‑book reconciliations.
• Oversee income auditing, cash and credit‑card banking, and foreign‑exchange banking.
• Reconcile and resolve outstanding PM accounts and commission claims.
• Control the procurement and inventory cycles, including post‑delivery store management.
• Ensure timely monthly VAT and PAYE returns are correctly processed.
• Maintain and reconcile the asset register and process standard and ad‑hoc journal entries.
• Prepare balance‑sheet and income‑statement level inputs and publish management reports.
• Lead process, system, and control improvement initiatives.
• Manage team performance, conduct appraisals, and ensure adherence to SOPs and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting or financial control within a large organization.
• Strong understanding of VAT, PAYE, and credit management.
• Experience supervising finance staff and conducting performance reviews.
• Ability to meet strict monthly reporting deadlines.
