Tax Consultant

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Tax Consultant to join a dynamic tax team in Kempton Park. The role offers the chance to deepen expertise in individual tax compliance while expanding into company and trust taxation, SARS disputes, and tax advisory.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit individual income tax returns and provisional tax returns.
• Manage a portfolio of individual tax clients, handling eFiling matters, assessments and queries.
• Complete company and trust income tax returns and assist with VAT, PAYE, dividends tax and donations tax matters.
• Draft remission requests, objections and suspension of payment applications.
• Support SARS audits, disputes and Tax Administration Act processes.
• Perform current and deferred tax calculations and assist with tax accounting.
• Conduct tax research and provide technical advice and client correspondence.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Taxation, Accounting or Law.
• Proven experience preparing individual income tax and provisional tax returns.
• Solid experience using SARS eFiling and managing a client portfolio.
• Experience preparing company and trust tax returns and knowledge of VAT, PAYE, dividends and donations tax.
• Experience drafting SARS dispute submissions and objections.
• Strong understanding of South African tax legislation.
