About the role
A leading company in the East Rand is looking for a competent, results-driven Assistant Accountant with proven experience managing a debtors book of R100 million or more. The position is based in Brakpan, Gauteng.
Key responsibilities
- Manage debtors, collections and customer account reconciliations
- Monitor ageing reports and drive timely collections
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and debtors reports
- Resolve customer queries and minimise overdue debt
- Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Support credit control and working capital management
Required profile
- Accounting qualification or relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting or credit control
- Proven experience managing a debtors book of R100 million or more
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong focus on cash flow and collections
