Area Manager – Fast Food Operations

About the role

Area Manager required for the fast‑food industry in Gauteng, with the possibility of relocation to Cape Town. The role oversees a portfolio of restaurants, driving sustainability, sales and profitability while ensuring brand integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of restaurants, monitoring turnover performance, budgeted growth and regional marketing strategies.
• Interpret monthly management accounts, benchmark performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead restaurant revamps, sign off project plans and ensure compliance with franchise agreements.
• Identify training needs, coordinate on‑the‑job coaching and support franchisees with locality marketing strategies.
• Negotiate leases and rentals with property groups and enforce correct use of POS and promotional materials.

Required profile

• Business Diploma plus Grade 12.
• Minimum 3 years multi‑store experience in the restaurant industry as an Area/Regional/Franchise Manager.
• Own car and valid driver’s licence; ability to travel daily.
• South African citizenship.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• GAAP/Micros accounting and reporting.
