Ambassador - Molecular Diagnostics

About the role

Abbott's Molecular Diagnostics division is looking for a commercially driven sales professional to grow its business across Limpopo and Mpumalanga, South Africa. The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth while partnering with healthcare professionals and laboratories. The role is based in either Limpopo or Mpumalanga, with extensive travel (about 75% of the time).

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales growth and achieve territory targets.
• Develop new business across public and private healthcare sectors.
• Manage key customer relationships and strategic accounts.
• Support tenders, contract negotiations and renewals.
• Deliver product education and customer support.
• Partner with distributors and internal teams to ensure business success.
• Drive menu expansion and customer retention initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Medical Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in diagnostics, medical devices, laboratory medicine or a related healthcare industry.
• At least 1-2 years of proven track record of achieving commercial and sales targets.
• Experience in distributor management and business development.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
