AI Engineer II – Hybrid (Cape Town)

About the role
Join Morae, a global leader in technology‑enabled legal solutions, as an AI Engineer II. You will design, build, and deploy production‑ready AI solutions that power legal services, working in a hybrid setting with three days a week in the Cape Town office.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and integrate AI/ML capabilities into production systems.
- Create backend services and APIs for AI‑powered applications.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain machine‑learning models and inference pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to operationalise models.
- Contribute to system architecture, code quality, and agile product delivery.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
- Strong Python programming and backend development skills.
- Hands‑on experience with AI/ML systems and model integration.
- Proven ability to develop APIs and data pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile teams.
