AI Developer Intern

About the role

Bluespec Holdings is looking for a motivated AI Developer Intern to support the development and implementation of artificial intelligence, automation and digital transformation initiatives across its business units. The intern gains exposure to industries such as automotive dealerships, auctions, emergency services, call centres, hospitality, student accommodation, HR and payroll. The position is based in Sandton, Gauteng.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and testing AI-driven solutions and automation tools.
• Support business process improvement initiatives through AI and technology.
• Help collect, analyse and report data across business units.
• Research emerging AI technologies and trends.
• Support chatbot, workflow automation and reporting projects.
• Help integrate AI tools into operational and administrative processes.
• Work with IT, HR, Operations and management teams on innovation projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure confidentiality and data accuracy.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Software Development, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
• Basic understanding of AI concepts and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Unemployed graduate (most internships require this).

Required skills

• Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Advantageous: experience with ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or similar AI platforms; basic programming or scripting; databases and reporting tools; Python, SQL, Power BI or automation tools.
