Afrikaans Educator – Gauteng High Schools (Talent Pool)

About the role

SPARK Schools is seeking dynamic Afrikaans (FAL) educators to join its high‑school talent pool in Gauteng. Teachers will deliver blended learning experiences, combining face‑to‑face instruction with online lessons, to support scholars in achieving matriculation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, teach, and co‑teach Afrikaans language lessons both in‑class and remotely.
• Collaborate with grade‑level and content partners to design rigorous, inquiry‑based curricula.
• Develop and administer formative and termly assessments, analysing data to monitor scholar progress.
• Implement individualized behaviour and learning plans, and support low‑performing or high‑achieving scholars.
• Lead character‑quotient (CQ) sessions and contribute to scholars’ social‑emotional development.
• Participate in place‑based education, career guidance, and tertiary pathway initiatives.
• Uphold SPARK’s culture and behaviour‑management strategies.
