Advancing Financial Adviser – Morningside Durban

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking an Advancing Financial Adviser to join its Morningside Durban team. You will work directly with clients, providing tailored financial advice and promoting long‑term insurance and investment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consultative financial advice to individuals and businesses.
• Identify client needs and match them with appropriate insurance and investment products.
• Maintain and grow a portfolio of customers through proactive relationship management.
• Analyse client information, synthesize findings, and present clear recommendations.
• Utilise sales software to track activities and manage sales data.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• At least 12 months of experience as a Financial Adviser in the financial services sector.
• Completion of Long‑term Insurance Class of Business and additional FAIS requirements (e.g., Investments Class of Business, RE5).
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle, and clean criminal and credit record.
• Strong computer literacy and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
