Accountant – Xero & Pastel Experience Required

About the role

Our travel client in Cape Town is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join their finance team. The role focuses on managing the company’s books and ensuring accurate financial reporting using modern accounting software.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, moving the books to trial balance in Xero.
• Process invoices, manage debtor and creditor accounts, and perform regular reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Generate financial reports and support budgeting processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Financial or bookkeeping qualification is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Xero (or Pastel) accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
