Accountant – Xero & Pastel Experience Required

About the role
Our travel client in Cape Town is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join their finance team. The role focuses on managing the company’s books and ensuring accurate financial reporting using modern accounting software.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, moving the books to trial balance in Xero.
- Process invoices, manage debtor and creditor accounts, and perform regular reconciliations.
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
- Generate financial reports and support budgeting processes.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Financial or bookkeeping qualification is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Xero (or Pastel) accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
What we offer
- Competitive salary ranging from R25,000 to R35,000 per month.
- Office‑based position in Cape Town with a supportive team environment.
