Accountant – Western Cape (R400K‑R600K)

About the role

A well‑established, fast‑paced manufacturing business in the Western Cape is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to own the full accounting function and partner closely with operations and management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Compile annual financial statements and supporting working papers.
• Manage VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and provisional tax submissions.
• Handle SARS queries, audits, and compliance matters.
• Oversee payroll processes and ensure statutory compliance.
• Manage supplier and debtor portfolios, including ageing reports.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous.

Required skills

• VAT and PAYE administration.
• Income Tax and provisional tax compliance.
• Payroll processing.
• Financial reporting and statement preparation.
