Accountant – Multi-Entity & Investment Portfolio

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Sandton, Johannesburg. The role offers exposure to multiple business entities and an investment portfolio, providing a stable environment for a professional who enjoys full‑cycle bookkeeping and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations
• Process journals and maintain accurate accounting records
• Maintain accounting records across multiple entities
• Process intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end reporting
• Prepare VAT submissions and statutory returns
• Support external audit processes
• Maintain fixed asset registers and supporting schedules
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and financial reporting

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Proven experience working across multiple entities
• Exposure to investment portfolios (advantageous)
• Stable employment history preferred
