Accountant – Mining Finance Team

About the role
We are seeking a motivated accounting professional to join the finance team of a well‑established mining company in Pretoria. The role offers the chance to develop financial expertise within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting and finance functions
- Prepare and process journals and reconciliations
- Support month‑end and year‑end financial processes
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
- Support audits and tax‑related requirements
Required profile
- BCom degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience
- Mining industry experience is advantageous
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities
