Academic Dean

About the role

The Two Oceans Graduate Institute (TOGI) is seeking a visionary Academic Dean to lead its academic affairs. Reporting to the CEO, the Dean will shape strategic direction, oversee curriculum development, and drive growth of both undergraduate and postgraduate teacher education programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all academic operations, ensuring alignment with institutional vision and objectives.
• Oversee curriculum design, staff recruitment, and student engagement for the School of Education.
• Lead the expansion of postgraduate offerings, fostering academic excellence and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with higher‑education regulatory frameworks, quality assurance, and accreditation processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance TOGI’s academic reputation.
• Manage the Academic Division, including Academic Support, Research, Compliance, and People & Culture functions.

Required profile

• A relevant doctoral degree in Education or a cognate field.
• Extensive higher‑education experience with a focus on teacher education.
• Proven track record in senior academic leadership and managing both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
