Waiter – Luxury Hotel Service

About the role

Join the hospitality team at One&Only Cape Town, a luxury resort that blends South African charm with world‑class service. As a Waiter you will deliver exceptional dining experiences, handling both table service and supporting roles such as bussing and food running.

Key responsibilities

• Provide attentive, courteous service to guests throughout their dining experience.
• Take orders accurately, communicate them to the kitchen, bar, and sake bar, and ensure timely delivery.
• Carry trays, plates, glasses and cleared items confidently and safely.
• Maintain full knowledge of the food menu, bar, and sake bar offerings.
• Monitor and clear stations, assist fellow waitstaff, and manage table maintenance.
• Report any under‑age guests attempting to order alcoholic beverages to a supervisor.
• Prioritise primary duties while supporting secondary tasks such as refilling glasses, clearing plates, and assisting with drink pickups.

Required profile

• Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm during busy periods.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• At least 2 years of experience in a restaurant or hotel service environment.
• Strong communication skills with guests and team members.
