Specialised Managerial Consultant

About the role

The Specialised Managerial Consultant provides guidance, support and coaching to managers of Kaelo Lifestyle clients who are engaged in the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). The role also manages formal referrals and ensures effective communication between managers and the EAP system.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct managerial assessments when managers refer employees to the EAP.
• Provide feedback, guidance, coaching and support to managers throughout the referral process.
• Equip managers with tools and techniques for handling difficult employee situations.
• Assist managers in addressing challenges related to their managerial roles.
• Offer coaching on leadership, management and soft‑skill development.
• Log detailed case notes for all client interactions in the EAP system.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in EAP or related counselling.
• Qualified social worker, psychologist or registered counsellor, registered with the relevant professional body.
• Strong communication, accountability and ethical orientation.
• Resilient, adaptive and focused on self‑development.

Required skills

• Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
• Knowledge of call‑centre telephony and technology.
• Good data entry and typing skills.
• Understanding of customer service principles and administration processes.
