Sales Manager – Agency Distribution

About the role

The Sales Manager – Agency Distribution will lead, manage and grow a team of Financial Advisers across the Central Region of South Africa. You will ensure sustainable, compliant and profitable business while upholding Sanlam’s standards of governance, compliance and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Appoint, develop and manage Financial Advisers in line with business strategy, driving productivity, issue volumes and quality metrics.
• Conduct FAIS supervision and ensure compliance with the FAIS Act, FSCA requirements, ASISA Codes and internal policies.
• Oversee new business submissions, monitor cancellations, lapses and persistency trends, and ensure timely, high‑quality submissions.
• Manage company resources, systems and assets, maintaining operational controls and administrative accuracy.
• Monitor and report on issued business, revenue versus targets, adviser productivity, persistency, quality indicators and FAIS supervision activities.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) – essential.
• FAIS Fit and Proper compliant, demonstrating honesty and integrity.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a team of advisers.
• Strong understanding of compliance, governance and ethical conduct in financial services.
