Junior Assistant Store Manager

About the role

Burnt Studios is seeking a motivated Junior Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in Ballito. You will help create an energised store environment that delivers consistently high service standards while fostering a strong team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in maintaining a well‑run, high‑performing store.
• Ensure daily operations are efficient, structured, and aligned with store priorities.
• Lead from the floor, setting the tone through presence, energy, and work ethic.
• Guide the team on daily tasks, providing clarity and accountability.
• Develop team capability through ongoing support and feedback.
• Manage customer interactions with confidence, care, and professionalism.
• Identify operational gaps and implement solution‑based fixes.
• Support stock flow, merchandising standards, and overall store presentation.
• Step into leadership when needed to ensure continuity in performance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as an Assistant Store Manager.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solution‑focused mindset with the ability to fix problems.
• Team‑first attitude that prioritises collective success.
• Empathy combined with firmness on expectations.
• Adaptability in fast‑paced retail environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS (point‑of‑sale) systems.
• Experience using stock management systems.
