About the role
The Registered Nurse will provide safe, cost‑effective, high‑quality patient care on the Maternity Ward of a hospital in Harrismith. The role involves direct and indirect nursing care, assessing patient needs, planning and supervising care delivery, and ensuring compliance with hospital standards and policies.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver evidence‑based nursing care and act as a role model for clinical practice.
- Participate in clinical governance, audit health records, and manage medication stock accurately.
- Implement infection prevention and control measures and manage patient acuity and skill mix.
Required profile
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/Midwife.
- 1–5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a maternity setting.
- Compliance with SANC code and relevant health legislation.
Required skills
- Computer literacy.
- Fluent communication in English.
