Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead and manage quality systems across four Heineken Beverages Distilleries (DiSA) plants in the Western Cape, ensuring first‑time‑right production and compliance with corporate governance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance systems (ISO, FSSC, Quality at Source, IMS, etc.) across all DiSA sites.
• Implement the HB Quality Strategy and act as the link between the DiSA cluster and corporate Quality Centres of Excellence.
• Develop and embed a strong “First Time Right” culture and ensure compliance with HB governance requirements.
• Drive reduction of the cost of poor quality while increasing productivity.
• Manage supplier quality programmes and oversee the performance of QESH Specialists.
• Lead high‑priority quality problem‑solving initiatives and ensure accurate KPI reporting.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Quality, Food Sciences, Microbiology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a FMCG environment, preferably in alcoholic beverages.
• Proven experience managing globally recognised Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Strong influencing skills and ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities for problem‑solving processes.
• Willingness to travel regularly between DiSA sites in the Western Cape.
