People Operations Manager

About the role

The People Operations Manager provides first‑class employee relations services to a Hilton hotel, ensuring an excellent staff experience while supporting the Human Resources strategy and succession planning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver employee relations services, handling disciplinaries, grievances and capability issues confidentially.
• Assist the HR Director with overall HR strategy and manage succession planning during bi‑annual appraisals.
• Support managers to achieve team success and ensure recruitment, selection and immigration checks are followed.
• Oversee pay reviews, absence monitoring, wage queries and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
• Prepare management reports for head office and regional teams.
• Control costs where possible and help meet hotel/department financial targets.
• Coordinate departmental training, including security, fire regulations and health & safety legislation.
• Promote hospitality careers through partnerships with local organisations and schools.

Required profile

• Previous HR managerial experience.
• Relevant HR qualification.
• Positive attitude, strong communication and people skills.
• Commitment to high‑level internal and external customer service.
• Professional grooming standards and flexibility to adapt to varied situations.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently or within a team.

Required skills

• IT proficiency.
