Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Scientific Engagement Role

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) acts as a credible scientific bridge between the company and healthcare professionals. Working primarily in the field, the MSL builds and maintains relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to support the brand’s therapeutic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with KOLs and healthcare professionals across assigned therapeutic areas to discuss scientific data, unmet needs, and treatment landscapes.
• Provide accurate medical and scientific information on company products and broader disease state knowledge.
• Attend and represent the company at local, regional, and national scientific meetings, bringing back insights on the latest advances.
• Develop and monitor adoption metrics for products, and support patient access or early‑access programs as required.
• Collaborate with external scientific societies and advisory boards to align long‑term strategic activities.
• Coordinate the planning and submission of scientific publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Map KOLs, establish scientific advisory boards, and assist in speaker development programs.

Required profile

• Strong scientific background in the relevant therapeutic area.
• Proven experience in field‑based medical affairs or similar liaison roles.
• Ability to conduct two‑way scientific dialogues and translate clinical data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
